INTERIOR FURNISHING DESIGNER

I am a recent textiles graduate, specialising in experimental, textural and unique interior furnishings. I work to an array of commercial and home environments, as well as creating more sculptural outcomes. During my study I have become a specialist in developing unique surfaces, and therefore hone a very mixed media approach in order to avoid restriction in one particular process or material.

My work aims to induce intrigue in the user, needing to be interacted with to be fully understood. My playful approach and enthusiasm to push possibilities within material boundaries ensures each design shows the layers of visual, physical, and psychological development in its generation, from concept to production.

I take inspiration from surprisingly beautiful forms in every day life, which are often overlooked. I like to shed light on how small details, patterns or shapes can be celebrated and enlarged, creating glorious, eye-catching forms.

Currently I am using visualisations and fabric samples to bring most of my designs to life, however I am working on bringing them into fruition. I also work as sustainably as possible, buying materials second hand where available, and only upholstering second hand furniture. This helps minimise my impact on the natural world, while still being able to make new and exciting work.
